NatHERS Certificate Thermal Modelling for BASIX
Nationwide House Energy Rating Scheme was developed by the CSIRO to measure the energy efficiency of homes based on its design, location and building materials. NatHERS approved software is used by accredited assessors to build a thermal model of the building. This information can be used to optimise the design to make it cheaper and more comfortable to live in. This is the best assessment tool for new builds and renovations.
National rating for existing homes
A Scorecard assessment is a national program that provides a way of knowing where the majority of energy is used in your home and considers fixed appliances such as heating, cooling and hot water appliances, as well as the construction and design of your home.
A Scorecard assessment of your home provides you with an overall star rating out of 10 that represents the average cost of energy for your home. With one star indicating low performance and ten stars indicating high performance.
Based on this information you will receive a prioritised list of recommendations to reduce the cost of running your home and improve its thermal performance.
